French Riviera residence

Location

The resort apartments of Residence Au Grand Sud are located in Hyères, on the beautiful Giens Peninsula, right in the heart of the Côte D’Azur, an inspiring locale for those who enjoy sea, uncontaminated nature, and relaxation.

Windsurfers and kiteboarders can practice their sports throughout the year along the windy beaches of Almanarre La Bergerie.

The clearing of Hyères is an area protected by the Golden Islands. Along the bay, there are several small landings accessible by sailboat, catamarans and kayaks, as well as on foot.

During your stay at the apartments and studios of Residence Au Grand Sud, you can go explore the sea beds where, amid clear water, you will encounter a rich variety of wildlife. You can also arrange to go diving with the support of an accredited diving center.

The tranquil coastline that surrounds the lawns of the resort branches out into trails that lead to Hyères Les Palmieres, all the bays and ports that lay alongside the Giens peninsula. Head for the ancient historic medieval town, charming with its old houses, port, and markets that feature typical products of Provence.

It is characterized by the presence of gorgeous palm trees - hence the name Hyères Les Palmieres. This town stretches out to sea through the Giens Peninsula where the climate is mild and, following the itineraries, you will discover plants and salt water lagoons and watch charming flamingos, cormorants, and rare flower species like lilies and orchids.

The Golden Islands / A brief crossing by boat will take you to the Golden Islands, a paradise of wild olive trees, peach trees, vineyards and other berries that embody the colors and scents of the Mediterranean Sea. These three Porquerolles islands, Port Cros and the Levant Island – include an archipelago for nature excursions on foot or mountain bike.

Toulon / At a twenty-minute drive from Hyères, Tolone comes alive along charming tiny streets and around small squares, while strolling along the dock at Cronstadt or Avenue de la République dominated by Mont-Faron, which can be reached by a cable car that features triumphant panoramas and fabulous sea views.

Hyères / Founded around the 4th century BC., Hyères's heritage of art and history make it worthy of a visit. Don't miss the gorgeous Templar Tower, the Romanesque façade of the Monastery Collégiale Saint-Paul and the Church of Saint-Louis. Beyond the medieval walls, you will experience inviting and joyful atmospheres that spill into picturesque alleys and boulevards lined with sumptuous palm trees, a perfect location for movies set in the Belle Epoque. Finally, let us suggest a visit to the top of the hills, where you'll find the ruins of the castle and extraordinary views!
